Anyone that is familiar or looking to engage in hunting or bird watching has probably heard of Vortex line of spotting scopes. Even if you haven’t, there is no guide on where to begin. That aside, vortex has prided itself in supplying the market with quality and considerably made spotting scopes for many years. Their dedication to people appreciation, product quality and promise delivery, is one of the reasons why their fame precedes them. The Vortex Diamondback Spotting scope is one of their most popular spotting scopes and you are about to find out why.

Vortex Diamondback Spotting Scope Key Features

More Than Convenient Magnification

20-60X magnification ideal for long distance and fine tuning of images out in the sun.
Eyepiece magnification plays a very crucial role in the quality of a spotted image. Out in broad daylight, I find it important that my spotting scope has a magnification power that is neither too much nor too little. Magnification of less than 20X is likely to be unusual, yet, a magnification power of greater than 60X, gives rise to what is deemed as a “bright but poor” image.

The vortex optics diamondback spotting scope gives you just exactly what you need and in a range that is reasonable.

Objective Lens Power

60mm Objective lens for ultimate light collection and concentration.
It is no lie that the power of any spotting scope lies almost entirely on its objective lens. As such, for a vortex to keep their scope ergonomically sized yet housing a great objective lens is without wonder. All in all, with a lens power of 60mm, you are sure the lighting will remain perfect despite what fine-tuning you do.

Other Features

This means that it has internal Porro prisms which make the image clearer by minimizing the internal reflections. This is one of the reasons why this spotting scope is affordable despite having superior quality images.

Customer Reviews And Scores:

As expected, the Vortex Optics Diamondback is one of the most reviewed best spotting scopes on Amazon. With more than a dozen people agreeing on its functionality and superiority. It is great with birdwatchers and hunters alike and the warranty is definitely a plus.

A few things to note though are:

– The eye relief distance may need adjustment in individuals who wear glasses. With time however, you may get used to it.

– The eyepiece is not adjustable or removable and such may need to be protected.

The Vortex Optics Diamondback Spotting Scope is a one of a kind spotting scope that actually matches up to expectation. Despite the fact that it lies on the entry-level to Vortex Optics range of spotting scopes, it is entirely a work of art that will not disappoint you in the quality of functionality.
